NTDP Announces First Seven Commitments for 2013-14 Season

Tkachuk skated with the St. Louis Blues Midget Minor program in 2012-13. He amassed 82 points (25-57) in 41 regular-season games. Tkachuk, who is verbally committed to play college hockey at the University of Notre Dame, also totaled 13 points (4-9) in five playoff games.

USHL – Kyle Novak Steal, Dangle, and Goal – 3-11-2013

In the USHL, Kyle Novak of the Green Bay Gamblers pulls off a beautiful goal against the Youngstown Phantoms. Novak tracks down a Phantoms defenseman from behind in his own zone and deftly picks his pocket. He turns and heads in on the net, where another defender is trying to cut him off. Novak manages to split between the defender and the goalie and slip the puck in while on only one leg just prior to going airborne!

USHL Honors – Week 17 – Kyle Novak

The United States Hockey League announced the CCM and Reebok player awards for the 17th week of the 2012-13 USHL regular season.

Award winners include J.T. Stenglein of the Waterloo Black Hawks and Kyle Novak of the Green Bay Gamblers, who were named co-recipients of CCM Forward of the Week; Ian McCoshen of the Waterloo Black Hawks, selected as CCM Defenseman of the Week; and Kevin Lindskoug of the Muskegon Lumberjacks, who nabs honors as Reebok Goaltender of the Week.

Novak’s first hat track powers Gamblers overs Sioux Falls

Sizing Up The Trades On The Musketeers

Goodwin, incidentally, has one goal and one assist in his new sweater, both coming in a 4-2 loss on Dec. 1 to Des Moines. Goodwin, you recall, was part of that blockbuster trade in November of last year, coming from Green Bay along with defensemen Dan Molenaar and Andy Ryan in exchange for All-USHL defenseman Jordan Schmaltz.

RoughRiders Trade Leading Scorer To Sioux City for Goodwin

The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders continued the overall of their roster Friday by trading leading scorer Riley Bourbonnais to the Sioux City Musketeers for forward David Goodwin, Riders Coach/General Manager Mark Carlson said.

The Riders have lost four games in a row and eight of 10 to drop to 7-8-3 overall. That included a tough 6-5 overtime loss Thursday night to Chicago.

Goodwin catalyst for Musketeers’ offense

David Goodwin’s hockey sense told him an opponent was in trouble and a teammate was ready to take advantage.

Late in the first period of Saturday night’s 5-2 exhibition loss to Omaha at the United States Hockey League’s Fall Classic, Goodwin intercepted a loose pass. Spotting his Sioux City Musketeers roommate Conor McGlynn near the goal, the 5-10, 180-pound third-year playmaking center flicked a crisp pass and the 6-2, 190-pound McGlynn buried it past stunned All-USHL goaltender Alex Lyon.
