Together forever – So Far

No, UMass Lowell freshmen hockey players Ryan McGrath and Greg Amlong are not Siamese twins. It just seems that way because they’ve been virtually inseparable for more than 15 years now.
And if they were Siamese twins, McGrath and Amlong would be the most mismatched twins since Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger. McGrath, a forward, stands a mere 5-7 and weighs 160 pounds, while Amlong, a defenseman, checks in at 6-2, 200.
Pendenza, McGrath Goals Lift UMass Lowell Over Colorado College

The River Hawks never trailed in the hockey game. Freshman Ryan McGrath (O’Fallon, Mo.) put UMass Lowell on top at the 10:27 mark of the first period in electrifying fashion. McGrath took a pass from freshman defenseman Greg Amlong (O’Fallon, Mo.) in the neutral zone and danced past two CC defenders just inside the blue line before snapping the puck into the upper left corner of the CC net.
Brett Gensler looks to help Falcons win most games in program history

Junior forward Brett Gensler is no ordinary hockey player. He put together one of the best seasons last year that Bentley had ever seen, and this year he’s looking to make some more history.
Gensler broke the school records for goals and points in a single season last year with 23 and 50, respectively, while taking home the Walter Brown Award, awarded to the best American-born college player in New England. Several of Gensler’s teammates as well as Bentley head coach Ryan Soderquist also took home postseason awards after the Falcons won 16 games, but lost in the Atlanta Hockey Association quarterfinals in 2011-12.

David Makowski was miserable. He couldn’t play hockey. He could barely attend class, much less study or take an exam. He suffered nonstop headaches, and the very medication he was taking for treatment may have been the root of the problem.
