Chaminade threesome on the ice tonight for Blues-Lightning
When the Nos. 3-4 teams in the NHL standings meet tonight at Scottrade Center, there will be more than two points on the line — there will be local bragging rights.
The Blues’ Chris Butler and Paul Stastny and Tampa Bay’s Ben Bishop all played on the same team at Chaminade Prep in 2005.
Blues’ Stastny, Butler inspire dreams of local youth hockey players

Stastny scores in debut but Blues fall

A quick fit for Stastny could signal a strong start for Blues
No offseason signing made a bigger splash than that of Paul Stastny, an experienced veteran who immediately improves the Blues’ depth at center.
He posted 25 goals and 35 assists last season for Colorado, his highest totals in the last four seasons for both categories. The 28-year-old scored or assisted on half of the Avalanche’s 20 goals in the playoffs, even though they lost to Minnesota in seven games in the first round.
Stastny, Butler go high-school haunting
A return to St. Louis and where they grew up hit home for Blues players Paul Stastny and Chris Butler on Monday.
The two Chaminade High grads were formally introduced to an assembly of some 800 students at the school’s new Fine Arts building, marking the opening of a new school year.
Paul Stastny eager to be a winner in his hometown
The St. Louis Blues’ new center isn’t one to make bold predictions either. Stastny certainly wasn’t going to predict that he would one day suit up in the city where he spent much of his childhood.
But like many who consider it a dream to play in their hometown, Stastny is living out his dream now, and for at least the next four seasons.
