For the first time since returning to the ice in the fall, Ohio State University defenseman Jincy Dunne will rejoin USA Hockey. Dunne is among 37 invitees to the Women’s Winter Training Camp in preparation for a two-game series against Team Canada later this month.
In other fantastic news, Jincy Dunne garnered an invite to Team USA’s training camp. The Buckeye defenseman is in the midst of a standout rookie season. She is a key contributor to the team, sitting in second place on the OSU points chart with two goals and seven assists. Most impressively, Dunne has racked up 39 blocked shots, more than any other freshman in the nation.

A redshirt freshman from O’Fallon, Mo., Dunne leads the Buckeyes with seven assists and is second on the team with nine points. Both of those totals put her in the Top 5 nationally among all freshmen defensemen.
When redshirt freshman defenseman Jincy Dunne signed to play for Ohio State women’s hockey in 2015, she had a resume brimming with on-ice accomplishments and was looking ahead to a promising future at OSU.
“It was a little bit nerve-wracking at first, but once I was out there it was just great. It was so nice to be on the ice again,” Dunne said from Madison as the team prepared to face the top-ranked University of Wisconsin Badgers on Friday.

When the NCAA Frozen Four begins in Boston next week, four St. Louis products will be spread among the programs playing for college hockey supremacy. They include Brian O’Rourke (Nebraska-Omaha), Dominic Zombo (Nebraska-Omaha), Nick Saracino (Providence) and Michael Parks (North Dakota).
Her name is Jincy Dunne, a 5-foot, 6-inch tall 17-year-old from The Fulton School in St. Albans. Last month, Jincy, the captain of the U.S Women’s National Under-18 Team, scored the gold-medal-winning goal in overtime against Canada.
A senior at The Fulton School in St. Albans, Dunne is not your typical teen. Her rapid on-ice development over the past year has put her on the fast track to the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea.
An O’Fallon, Missouri, teen scored the gold medal-clinching overtime goal for Team USA hockey at the Under-18 Women’s World Championship Monday.
