The Western Michigan University hockey team has gotten off to a good start this year, with a 5-1-2 record at Lawson Arena alone, only three less wins than the team had in total last season. One player that has helped the team with that start this year is sophomore goaltender Trevor Gorsuch.

Gorsuch gets call up. Michigan Warriors starting goaltender Trevor Gorsuch received a call up Friday, Dec. 5, to the Waterloo Black Hawks of the United States Hockey League.
Gorsuch, 20, was 38-41-9 in four seasons with the Warriors, tallying a 2.64 goals against average and .921 save percentage. He posted six wins, including three shutouts, and 1.23 goals against average last year in the playoffs for Michigan, which advanced to the Robertson Cup semifinals.

Warriors goaltender Trevor Gorsuch, 18, started and won both games over the weekend as the native of St. Charles, Missouri, stopped 81 of a combined 83 shots in the two games and allowed just two goals all weekend, which included his second shutout of the season.
