Bronco Hockey Heads to NHL Development Camps

Others heading to development camps include Garret Haar (Washington), Mike Cichy (Montreal), and Colton Hargrove (Boston). The five, including Balisy, have their draft rights held by the teams. Undrafted student-athletes Nolan LaPorte, Kenney Morrison, Kyle Novak, and Josh Pitt also are headed to camps. LaPorte will join Haar in Washington, while Morrison heads to Edmonton, Novak to Anaheim and Pitt to Winnipeg.

Kyle Novak Named to 2013 All-USHL Second Team

The League’s fourth-leading scorer with 77 points (27g, 50a) appeared in all 64 games this season for the Gamblers.  One of just three players to record 50 assists, he had multi-assist games on 12 occasions.  He put together a 14-game point streak from January 13th to March 1st, amassing 22 points (12g, 10a) over that span which included a hat trick on January 18th, his first in the USHL.  The 20-year-old led his team with a plus-23 rating and ranked second in the League with four shorthanded goals.  The O’Fallon, Missouri native will play college hockey at Western Michigan University.

USHL – Kyle Novak Steal, Dangle, and Goal – 3-11-2013

In the USHL, Kyle Novak of the Green Bay Gamblers pulls off a beautiful goal against the Youngstown Phantoms. Novak tracks down a Phantoms defenseman from behind in his own zone and deftly picks his pocket. He turns and heads in on the net, where another defender is trying to cut him off. Novak manages to split between the defender and the goalie and slip the puck in while on only one leg just prior to going airborne!

USHL Honors – Week 17 – Kyle Novak

The United States Hockey League announced the CCM and Reebok player awards for the 17th week of the 2012-13 USHL regular season.

Award winners include J.T. Stenglein of the Waterloo Black Hawks and Kyle Novak of the Green Bay Gamblers, who were named co-recipients of CCM Forward of the Week; Ian McCoshen of the Waterloo Black Hawks, selected as CCM Defenseman of the Week; and Kevin Lindskoug of the Muskegon Lumberjacks, who nabs honors as Reebok Goaltender of the Week.

Novak’s first hat track powers Gamblers overs Sioux Falls

Novak’s three goals helped the Green Bay Gamblers post a 5-1 victory over the Sioux Falls Stampede at the Resch Center on Friday night.

Green Bay Gamblers forward Kyle Novak displayed some outstanding stick on December 1st to scored a shorthanded goal against Indiana.  Just four weeks later, he showcased a similar move in a victory over Chicago on December 28th.

Novak Commits To Western Michigan

The Green Bay Gamblers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) are pleased to announce that forward Kyle Novak has committed to Western Michigan University of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA).  Novak is the 3rd player on the Gamblers roster to commit to the Broncos, joining forwards Nolan LaPorte and Sheldon Dries.
