Sioux City Musketeers picking up momentum
Coach Jay Varady’s Musketeers (6-2-1) rallied from four two-point deficits to beat first-place Omaha 6-5 on Friday, getting the first two goals of defenseman Tyler Mueller’s career, while the last of Brandon Hawkins’ three goals came in overtime. Trevor Olson provided two goals and an assist in Saturday’s 5-2 win over Waterloo, while his linemates, center Jared Thomas (3 assists) and left wing Avery Peterson (2 goals, 2 assists) also shined.
