The Peoria Rivermen signed goaltender Tyler Parks on Tuesday, as expected, after they released goaltender Troy Davenport the day before.

Parks began the season with expansion Evansville, and went 0-3-1 with a 3.47 goals-against and an .896 saves rate.

The lone exception was Tyler Elbrecht, a defenseman from the Greenville Swamp Rabbits. He joins the team following a late trade for future considerations.

“He’s a nice addition to our defense,” Dickson said. “He’s a shutdown guy who will have a presence out on the ice. He might get into 10 or 12 fights a year – a tough player, but a guy who can skate and really play defense.”

Yan Stastny Cut By Blues

Yan Stastny

Stastny was released from his professional tryout agreement by the Blues on Thursday.

Stastny has not played in North America since the 2009-10 season, split between St. Louis and AHL Manitoba. The 33-year-old spent last season with the Schwenningen Wild Wings of the DEL, where he logged 20 points in 38 contests.
