The AHL announced the CCM/AHL Player of the Week on Monday. This week’s honored player is the Cleveland Monsters’ (CBJ) d-man John Ramage. Ramage has seven assists and nine points in 23 games this season and has been a standout for the Monsters this week.

Walleye goalie Heeter called up to AHL
Walleye goalie Cal Heeter has been called up to Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League.
Heeter won his first eight games in a Walleye uniform and did not lose a start until Dec. 10 against Alaska. This is the second time Heeter has been promoted to Grand Rapids.

With just under four minutes left in regulation, Dakota Mermis drove Ontario’s zone, leaving a drop pass for Ryan MacInnis. MacInnis directed a shot low on Campbell, which he couldn’t handle cleanly, and Mermis, who was driving hard to the net, got a stick on the loose puck, tucking it past the Reign netminder to tie the game.

Thunderbirds goaltender Mike McKenna ready for his return to Springfield
So far in his decade-long career in professional hockey, McKenna has suited up for 10 different AHL franchises — as well five NHL clubs. The 33-year-old goaltender is no stranger to the city of Springfield either, starting in 36 games for the now-defunct Falcons during the 2013-14 season.
Son of hockey legend Al MacInnis is ready for Tucson Roadrunners
Ryan grew up in the St. Louis suburbs, the son of an NHL legend; Al smacked pucks against a barn door in Nova Scotia, the son of a coal miner with eight kids. Ryan was born with natural talent, but only recently began to fill into his body and just now believes he’s starting to find his groove.
Philip McRae inks with Hartford
A veteran of six pro seasons, the 6-2, 201-pound McRae spent this past year with the AHL’s Bakersfield Condors, skating in 35 games and registering nine goals and six assists for 15 points, along with 33 penalty minutes.
Grand Rapids Griffins Sign Cal Heeter
Heeter, 27, spent the 2015-16 season between two clubs. In 24 games with the Hamburg Freezers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga he posted an 11-8-0 record, a 3.00 goals against average and a 0.900 save percentage while showing a 0-2-2 mark, a 3.23 GAA and a 0.856 save percentage in six games with the Kontinental Hockey League’s Zagreb Medvescak.
Ryan Macinnis, Kyle Wood report to Springfield Falcons
The Arizona Coyotes announced today that forward Ryan MacInnis and defenseman Kyle Wood will join the Springfield Falcons after completing their junior hockey season.
