St. Louis forward Maddox signs NAHL tender
The St Louis Jr. Blues, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that forward Sam Maddox has signed an North American Hockey League tender with the Fairbanks Ice Dogs. Fairbanks competes in the NAHL’s Midwest Division.
Pack Ink Forward Jack Combs
Combs, a 27-year-old six-year pro, played for a total of five clubs, in three different countries, this past season. The St. Louis, MO native began the year with Toros Neftekamsk of Russia’s Vysshaya Liga (VHL), posting seven assists and four penalty minutes in 11 games, before joining the Allen Americans of the ECHL.

The American Hockey League today announced that Binghamton Senators defenseman Chris Wideman has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of a match penalty for slashing incurred in a game at Hershey on Nov. 10.

Chill Host Pre-Season Game on October 11
The St. Charles Chill, in conjunction with the Missouri Mavericks, announced Wednesday, the Central Hockey League (CHL) teams will square off in an exhibition game on Friday, October 11 at the Family Arena at 7:05 p.m. Admission to the game is free and seating will be general admission.
Exclusive Interview With Former Rivermen Goaltender Mike McKenna
Earlier this year, I was able to cover a Peoria Rivermen game against the Charlotte Checkers. Rivermen goaltender, Mike McKenna, had a very weird night between the pipes.
The Checkers had hit close to ten posts, if not more than that. McKenna himself told me after the game, “It was a weird night like that. It’s the most times I’ve had a puck the post whether it went out or off in a long time. Half of those weren’t even a shot on goal but the other half went in.”
