Head Coach and General Manager Brett Larson announced today that the Sioux City Musketeers and Green Bay Gamblers finalized a blockbuster, five player trade that sees star defenseman Jordan Schmaltz dealt to the Gamblers in exchange for forwards David Goodwin and Jake Montgomery and defenseman Dan Molenaar and Andy Ryan.

Novak Commits To Western Michigan
The Green Bay Gamblers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) are pleased to announce that forward Kyle Novak has committed to Western Michigan University of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA). Novak is the 3rd player on the Gamblers roster to commit to the Broncos, joining forwards Nolan LaPorte and Sheldon Dries.
Riders Ryan McGrath Commits to UMASS – Lowell
Cedar Rapids RoughRiders forward Ryan McGrath has committed to play collegiate hockey at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell beginning in the fall of 2012. McGrath was sixth on the team scoring with 42 points (18g, 24a) in 58 games during his first USHL season in 2010-11, helping the RoughRiders equal a team record with 42 victories and capture the Anderson Cup. Four of his goals were game-winners and the O’Fallon, Missouri native also posted a plus-15 rating.
