The Canadian Hockey League today announced that St. Louis Blues prospect Luke Opilka of the Kitchener Rangers is the Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week for the week ending January 31 after posting a 2-0-0-0 record including a shutout victory with a goals-against-average of 0.50 and save percentage of .979.
Luke Opilka made 20 saves and earned his second Ontario Hockey League shutout as the Kitchener Rangers defeated the visiting Windsor Spitfires 2-0 in front of 7,232 fans during Don Cameron Potato Night at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium Complex on Friday.
The streak started with a goal against Sarnia in early November.
It ended Friday at the Aud in Kitchener’s 2-0 victory over the visiting Windsor Spitfires.

London Knights forward Matthew Tkachuk will wear the ‘C’ for Team Orr. The annual showcase of the Canadian Hockey League’s top 40 draft-eligible players is set for Jan. 28 at the Pacific Coliseum.
The six-foot-six, 218-pound Brown was the sixth overall pick in the 2014 OHL Draft by Niagara and was traded to Windsor prior to the start of the season.
