The Gophers completed the sweep of the Huskies with a 3-2 win Saturday night at the National Hockey Center, a night after Minnesota’s 2-1 win Friday.
Steel Defenseman Chooses Northern Michigan University

Chicago Steel defenseman Ryan Trenz has chosen to play collegiate hockey at Northern Michigan University following his USHL career.
“I visited NMU last summer and I really liked the campus,” Trenz said. “I went on the official visit earlier in January and got to meet the coaching staff and saw a game the next day.
Berger Putting Together Strong Season at Princeton

Berger is in his sophomore season as a forward on the Princeton Men’s Hockey team, and the St. Louis native has become one of the Tigers’ top players. It is no surprise considering how Berger and his four younger brothers have spent much of their lives playing the sport they love.

The Western Collegiate Hockey Association on Tuesday announced that UNO freshman forward Dominic Zombo has been suspended for one game for his actions in the Mavericks’ game against Minnesota Duluth on January 14.
