CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game Roster Announced

USA Hockey announced today the 40 players who will participate in the inaugural CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game, which will take place Sept. 29 at First Niagara Center in Buffalo, N.Y.

The roster boasts 40 of the top American prospects eligible for the 2013 National Hockey League Entry Draft. Represented are 31 players from the United States Hockey League, the top junior league in America, including 22 from USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program in Ann Arbor, Mich. Additionally, at least 28 of the 40 are future NCAA Division I college players.

David Goodwin Still Solid On Penn State Hockey Program

David Goodwin helped bring a state high school hockey championship to De Smet Jesuit in 2010, and starting in the fall of 2013, he’s excited about being part of a program competitng for a college crown.

Earlier this year he committed to play for Penn State, which is making the leap to Division I in 2013.

UMass Lowell hockey will add nine freshmen to its 2012-13 roster, as announced by head coach Norm Bazin on Monday. The freshman class will include Gregory Amlong (O’Fallon, Mo.), Adam Chapie (Oxford, Mich.), Michael Colantone (Cave Creek, Ariz.), Michael Fallon (Glenview, Ill.), Christian Folin (Gothenburg, Sweden), Connor Hellebuyck (Commerce, Mich.), Logan Johnston (Penticton, B.C.), Ryan McGrath (O’Fallon, Mo.) and A.J. White (Dearborn, Mich.).

Hawks Forward Huntebrinker Picks Minnesota State University, Mankato

The Waterloo Black Hawks announced that forward Mike Huntebrinker has committed to play college hockey at Minnesota State University, Mankato beginning in the fall of 2013. The 19-year-old recorded 34 points (17g, 17a) in 54 regular season games during his first USHL season and was tied for fourth on the team with 17 goals.
