Parks Named UND Assistant Hockey Captain

Parks, a native of St. Louis, Mo., was UND’s Rookie of the Year in 2011-12 when he collected 12 goals and 10 assists in 42 games. Last season he scored seven goals and one assist in an injury-plagued season that limited him to just 25 games. A general studies major, Parks has received UND’s Engelstad Family Foundation Endowment in each of the last two seasons. He was selected by Philadelphia in the fifth round (149th overall) of the 2010 NHL draft.
Clayton Keller Commits to Boston University

Clayton Keller, a 1998-born forward that was the leading scorer on last year’s Shattuck-St. Mary’s Bantam team announced today via Twitter that he has committed to Boston University.

The Quinnipiac University men’s ice hockey captured the Challenge Cup Series against Asiago with a 4-0 win in its final competition of its Tour of Italy. Captain Cory Hibbeler led the Bobcats with two goals and an assist.

Badgers men’s hockey: Mike Eaves confirms Aidan Cavallini joins 2013-14 class

“Aidan plays with great energy and passion,” Eaves said of the 5-foot-11, 205-pounder, “but you’ll notice that, even though he plays with passion, he understands the game as well. He understands how it goes together and that’s a nice combination to have. We look for him to come in, work his way into the lineup and become an energy guy for us.”
Bronco Hockey Heads to NHL Development Camps

Others heading to development camps include Garret Haar (Washington), Mike Cichy (Montreal), and Colton Hargrove (Boston). The five, including Balisy, have their draft rights held by the teams. Undrafted student-athletes Nolan LaPorte, Kenney Morrison, Kyle Novak, and Josh Pitt also are headed to camps. LaPorte will join Haar in Washington, while Morrison heads to Edmonton, Novak to Anaheim and Pitt to Winnipeg.
College Hockey Recruiting: Alex Jasiek commits to Dartmouth

Des Moines Buccaneers forward Alex Jasiek has committed to Dartmouth College. The St. Louis, Mo. native came up through the St. Louis Junior Blues youth program. The five-foot-nine-inch Jasiek played for the Jr. Blues U18 team this past season before playing in two games for the Buccaneers in the USHL.
