This season the team is experiencing a series of high-end ‘firsts’ as a Division 1 contender. As the Lions moved into the top-10 and up the rankings in each of the voter polls and the PairWise Rankings, each spot above 14 became a new all-time high for the program, which reached a peak of 14 last season. The current 11-game win streak, and 13-game unbeaten streak, are also program records.
Badgers men’s hockey: Luke Kunin named Big Ten’s second star of the week
A two-goal effort last Friday gave the University of Wisconsin men’s hockey team’s Luke Kunin the Big Ten’s second star of the week.
Kunin scored twice in a five-goal second period in the Badgers’ 7-4 victory at Michigan. He added an assist in a 4-1 loss on Saturday.

For the second time this season, sophomore Luke Kunin has been recognized as the Big Ten’s second star of the week, after producing three points in a series split at Michigan.
Colonials, Schooley reach 200-win milestone
The Robert Morris Colonials earned the 200th win in program history and the 200th career win for head coach Derek Schooley in the team’s 4-1 win over the Bentley Falcons at John A. Ryan Skating Rink in Watertown, Massachusetts on Saturday.
Jincy Dunne returns to USA Hockey
For the first time since returning to the ice in the fall, Ohio State University defenseman Jincy Dunne will rejoin USA Hockey. Dunne is among 37 invitees to the Women’s Winter Training Camp in preparation for a two-game series against Team Canada later this month.

In other fantastic news, Jincy Dunne garnered an invite to Team USA’s training camp. The Buckeye defenseman is in the midst of a standout rookie season. She is a key contributor to the team, sitting in second place on the OSU points chart with two goals and seven assists. Most impressively, Dunne has racked up 39 blocked shots, more than any other freshman in the nation.
